[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month with Spirit Days!

Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month with ADL's 2022 Spirit Days

We've got spirit! How about you?

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and Adrian District Library is ready to host its 2022 Spirit Days celebration! Check the calendar below, or announcements via social media, for daily themes in which staff and the community are invited to have a little fun in the library. Patrons can participate for a chance to earn some library swag!

What’s this about swag?
Patrons that visit the library dressed or accessorized accordingly will be eligible to pick from an ADL Bag o’ Swag.

What and When are the Spirit Days?

Throughout September, certain days (see below) will be designated as a Spirit Day. Each day will have a different theme. Staff members are encouraged to participate, but let’s try and get patrons in on the action, too:

  • Thursday, September 1st - Bed-Head (Bad Hair) Day

  • Saturday, September 3rd - School/College Pride

  • Monday, September 5th - Monochromatic Monday

  • Wednesday, September 7th - Hoodie Day

  • Friday, September 9th - Sparkles Day

  • Tuesday, September 13th - Workout Wear

  • Thursday, September 15th - Throwback Thursday

  • Saturday, September 17th - Roadie Day

  • Monday, September 19th - Talk (and Dress) Like A Pirate Day

  • Wednesday, September 21st - Hawaiian Wear Wednesday

  • Friday, September 23rd - Fandom Friday

  • Saturday, September 24th - I Love Lit Day

  • Tuesday, September 27th - Tacky Tourist Tuesday

  • Thursday, September 29th - Hat Day

Daily themes will be announced via social media, but take-home calendars will be available in the library.

How does participation work?

Show up dressed according to the day’s theme or, if getting to the library is a challenge, post an image via social media and tag the library.
