[ARCHIVED] Spirit Days Returns for Library Card Signup Month

2021 Spirit Days September 1-29

Show Your Spirit at the Library for a chance to win!

Attention!/¡Atención!/Achtung!

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and Adrian District Library wants to have some fun by hosting “Spirit Days.” Check the calendar below, or announcements via social media, for daily themes in which staff and the community are invited to have a little fun in the library. Participating patrons will have the chance to win prizes throughout the month.

What’s this about prizes?
Participation will earn you an entry into a prize drawing, and perhaps a piece of ADL swag. Prize to be awarded following the end of the Spirit Days challenge.

What and When are the Spirit Days?

Throughout September, certain days (see below) will be designated as a Spirit Day. Each day will have a different theme. Staff members will participate, but we want to see you jump in on the action.

  • Wednesday, September 1st - Work-out Wear
  • Friday, September 3rd - Hat Day
  • Tuesday, September 7th - Denim Day
  • Thursday, September 9th - Funny T-shirt Day
  • Saturday, September 11th - Patriotism Day
  • Monday, September 13th - MisMatched Monday
  • Wednesday, September 15th - Polka Dot Day
  • Friday, September 17th - Hawaiian Wear Wednesday
  • Tuesday, September 21st - Team Spirit/School Spirit Day
  • Thursday, September 23rd - Twin Day
  • Saturday, September 25th - Hoodie Day
  • Monday, September 27th - Monochromatic Monday
  • Wednesday, September 29th - Crazy Hair Day

Daily themes will be announced via social media, but take-home calendars will be available in the library.

How do you enter?

Check the Spirit Days calendar, or check social media to know each day's theme. Dress accordingly, and then show up to the library that day. Can’t show up to the library that day? Post a photo to social media and tag the library!

Each day of participation enters you into the drawing (yes, multiple entries are permitted). Entry slips are located at the front circulation desk. Fill out an entry slip and return to staff.

Don’t have a library card yet?

September is LIbrary Card Sign-up Month, so if you’re an eligible Adrian resident in need of a library card, sign up for a new account. Just signing up for a new account is worth entry into the Spirit Days raffle.

Don’t know if you’re eligible for a library card with ADL? Give us a call at 517-265-2265 or visit our website for more info.
