Attention!/¡Atención!/Achtung!

Attention everyone! September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and Adrian District Library wants to have a little library fun. We will host “Spirit Days,” daily events to help liven up life within the library. Play the game and you could win some prizes. How? Read on for more info.

In a nutshell
Participation will earn you an entry into a prize drawing, and perhaps a small piece of ADL swag. Grand prize to be awarded following the end of the Spirit Days challenge.

What and When are the Spirit Days?
Throughout September, certain days (see below) will be designated as a Spirit Day. Each day will have a different theme. Staff members will participate, but we want to see you jump in on the action.

  • Sep. 2 - Hat Day

  • Sep. 4 - PatternDay (Plaid, Polka Dots, Stripes; Clash for Extra Credit)

  • Sep. 9 - Workout Wear Wednesday

  • Sep. 11 - Patriotism Day

  • Sep. 14 - Superhero Day

  • Sep. 16 - Wacky Wednesday

  • Sep. 18 - School/College/Team Day

  • Sep. 21 - Monocolor Monday

  • Sep. 23 - Way Back Wednesday

  • Sep. 25 - Fictional Character Friday

  • Sep. 28 - Ugly Sweater

  • Sep. 30 - Dress Like Your Favorite Librarian Day

Daily themes will be announced via social media, but take-home calendars will be available in the library.

Earning prizes
Each day of participation enters you into the drawing (yes, multiple entries are permitted). Entry slips are located at the front circulation desk. Fill out an entry slip and return to staff. After the final Spirit Day, winners will be randomly drawn and then contacted.

Can’t make it to the library on a particular Spirit Day? No problem! Snap a photo and post it on either Facebook or Instagram. Make sure to tag Adrian District Library so we can see and record your virtual entry.
